The Eternaut 🎬 Netflix – 3D Modeling & Shading

I had the amazing opportunity to spend a full year contributing as a 3D modeler and shading artist on "The Eternaut", the first official live-action adaptation of the iconic Argentine comic, released globally on Netflix in April 2025.

As a modeler and shading artist, the biggest challenge was achieving a level of realism that allowed the models to blend seamlessly with the real-life city scans used in the series.

My responsibilities included modeling props, vehicles, and set extensions, with a strong focus on hard surface modeling. I was also in charge of creating realistic shaders and textures that integrated naturally into the environments. These had to match both the scanned assets and the real-life footage, while maintaining a unified visual feel across scenes.

The project was developed by K&S Films and Control Studio, with a large VFX and CG team. It required close collaboration between departments to meet the demands of a production that merged real-world footage with CG environments.
